If you’re thinking about publishing your own book, I’ve got some great information for you! Continue reading
We’ve blogged about Nooks, Kindles, and Kobos, and while they’re all great products, what if you just want to read a book on your computer? It’s true you can download apps from Amazon and Barnes & Noble that will allow you to do this, but I found another program that works great and has some amazing features!
I invite you to check out MartView, a digital reader that allows you to “Read on a computer like never before. Flip, slide, scroll, pinch, circle and more!” I’ve been using it for a few weeks now and I really enjoy it. I have a growing collection of books in PDF format. Reading them with Adobe Reader is okay, but MartView really brings a PDF to life!
MartView also offers a library of free books and magazines you can download and read at your leisure. The colors are crisp and clear. This absolutely free program is also enabled for touch screen monitors.
A unique feature of MartView is it will allow you to convert your pictures into an attractive photo album and publish them on the web! I really like this feature!
You can learn more or download MartView by “clicking here.” Have fun!
Aloha everyone! I can’t begin to tell you how much I appreciate you reading this blog. Thank you!
In a few previous posts I have discussed how Harper-Collins makes library books disappear when they’ve been checked out to many times for their liking. In yesterday’s post I talked about how they are being taken to court because of ebook price fixing. Here we go again… Now they’ve knocked off someone else’s book cover artwork. What makes this particularly reprehensible is Harper-Collins offered to buy the rights from the artist, but the artist refused. Harper-Collins decided they were going to use it anyway!
After being challenged by the artist, Harper-Collins said they will change the cover artwork. The question is why on earth did they try to rip it off in the first place?
You’ve got to read my source material for this post. There’s more to this story! Please “click here” to check it out for yourself!

Good news for pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and students! The American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) in cooperation with Impelsys, a company dedicated to enabling traditional publishing companies to go digital, has opened an ebook store!
According to information on the ASHP eBook website, “When you purchase an eBook from ASHP’s iPublish Central, you can read your eBooks within iPub Central’s own online eBook reader using a web browser, or offline with the iOffline reader. ASHP eBooks will also be available for purchase soon on Amazon for use on the Amazon Kindle and Kindle app.
When you want to read your eBook online, you simply go to the ASHP eBooks website using your web browser, login, click on Bookshelf, select the book you wish to read and click “Read It.” You will have the option to change viewing options, make personal notes, bookmark pages, and make searches.
There are currently 25 eBooks available on the site, with prices ranging from $21.00 to $260.00, arranged into eight categories with many more additions being promised this year.
If you would like to know more, please “click here” and go there!
There’s a new ebook publisher in town and they’re looking for you! If you’ve written a book and you’re looking for a way to publish it (especially if you’re on a budget), you should look this over. The name of the site is 2BHEARD and it has options for publishers and readers alike.
You can join 2BHEARD for free. Their Terms & Conditions (as with any business agreement) should be read throughly prior to joining. I could go on and on about them, but it’s easier to just refer you to the source! You can go there by “clicking here“!
J.K. Rowling is opening an interactive website called Pottermore. The site officially opens in October, but a lucky few will be selected to test the site on July 31st.
As you probably know, none of the Harry Potter books were ever released as ebooks. This is all going to change. All the Harry Potter books will be available as both audio books and ebooks for immediate purchase and download at Pottermore.
What J.K. Rowling is doing is amazing. She is cutting her publishers and book sellers out of the picture and selling direct to her fans. She also promises to make additional Harry Potter materials available on the new website.
Everyone in our family is a Harry Potter fan and I’m really looking forward to joining Pottermore! If you would like to know more, please “click here.” J.K. Rowling has a video on the site with more exciting information!
I’ve come across another enchanting website for you to play on! It’s called “BookRix.” They’ve got thousands of free ebooks for you to download! These ebooks were written by members of the site and published for everyone to read, enjoy, and evaluate. They also have frequent contests where writers and readers alike can earn cash and prizes.
If that wasn’t enough, they feature several hundred social groups where you can read, write, and network with other people who share your interests. If you would like to see everything they have to offer, please click here!
I joined this website today and I intend to explore it this evening. Maybe I’ll see you there! Look for someone signed in as “ebookchronicles” and that will be me!
