A Couple of Search Engines

We all know about Google… When you want to know something you Google it! The problem is Google, and just about all search engines, keep a history of your searches linked to your IP address. I don’t have a problem with that, but some people don’t want their search engines to know that much about them! There’s now a search engine that doesn’t keep your personal information. You can check them out at ixquick.com (people were having trouble remembering that so they also use startpage.com). The search results are impressive and they bill themselves as the world’s most private search engine. Just thought you should know about them!

I’d also like to tell you about a great PDF search engine. Ebooks and documents published as PDF’s can be read in just about anyone’s ereader. All you need is PDF viewing program to view them. Adobe Reader is a PDF viewer and it’s usually pre-installed or available as an app on most ereaders. So where do you find all these cool PDF ebooks? Click here to find out! This link will take you to PDFGeni which is a search engine that finds PDF ebooks and documents. I’ve been playing with it for a few hours and it’s amazing what all it can find! Have fun everyone!
