Paper Towels vs. Electric Blowers

This has nothing to do with eBooks, but I’m going to throw it out there anyway… When I wash my hands in a public restroom, I like to dry them with a paper towel. It’s getting hard to find paper towels… They’re being replaced by electric blowers.

I’m as green as the next guy, but I’m having a problem understanding this change. We’re getting rid of paper towels… which are extremely cheap, recyclable, and produced from renewable resources… and replacing them with electric blowers which are using electricity produced from power plants using nonrenewable petroleum or coal. What’s even worse, these blowers are so freaking loud they leave your ears ringing and take forever to dry your hands so you end up wiping them on your pants! Am I the only one that has a problem with this?

I’m done venting (for now…)
